Taking William Shakespeare’s celebrated line: “All the world’s a stage…” – what do you want your clothes to say to the outside world?
We players wear costumes whether we admit it or not. Get them right, and life on your personal stage could actually get better. But even if it doesn’t, it will certainly become more enjoyable, which is pretty much the same thing.
So how to determine what costume best serves your purpose? Consider a word which sums up the look you’re aiming for and what you might want someone to say about you as you walk into a room.
Such words might include “interesting”, “cool”, “sassy”… Once you have identified your word, you will be able to identify which styles can be relied on to deliver it for you – and help make you shine.
So many people feel they don’t know who they are when it comes to getting dressed. They’ve lost their sense of self, due to changing lifestyles… jobs… body shape… Life basically.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what your word is: whether shopping in your wardrobe, rediscovering the person you used to be when you perhaps had more confidence, or finding something entirely new – what your word really is, is: “you”.
